Basildon station is railway station located in Basildon, Essex, England. The station was opened in 1974 and train services are operated by c2c.

It is situated between Laindon railway station and Pitsea railway station and located 24 miles (38.7 km) distant from Fenchurch Street.

The Ticket Office:

The Ticket Office has three serving positions and is open Monday - Friday 05.15 - 22.00, Saturday and Sunday 06.15 - 21.30. The Ticket Hall houses a Retail Unit as well as an Avantix Self Service Ticket Machine, a Fast Ticket Machine and a Permit to Travel Machine (PERTIS). A Cash Machine is also sited in the Ticket Hall.

Platforms:

The Station has two Platforms. Both are located on the upper level, they can be reached by a fixed Staircase or by a lift.

The typical off-peak service frequency is:

  • 4 trains per hour Shoeburyness of which:
    • 2 trains per hour do not stop at Pitsea
    • 2 trains per hour call at all stations
