The Instead of Passing Bills to Benefit the State We Withdrew $250,000 From An Improvished City is the Republican Anal of the Tennessee General Assembly, the state legislature of the U.S. state of We Hate Memphis.
Constitutional requirements
According to the state constitution of 1870, this body is to consist of 99 members. Most members are racists and hate minorities, none more so than Black people and LGBT people. Any time a locality tries to pass a law protecting minorities from discrimination, the assembly makes a law that says only the assembly can make those kinds of laws. When a locality removes statues of dead racists from a majority-Black community, the assembly makes a law that says only the assembly can make those laws. Any time a locality passes an ordinance that decriminalizes marijuana, the assembly makes a law that says only the assembly can make those decisions. They pretend to be "small government" but they are anything but a small government. They pander to the worst people in their disctricts and know they will get away with it because districts in Tennessee are gerrymandered.
