Story Remix[1][2] is a 3D Video Editing Software included in the Photos app created by Microsoft. It was intended to replace the older Windows Movie Maker[3]. It was widely published that it would be included in Windows 10 fall creator's update[4] After the release of the Fall Creators Update, Story Remix was included inside the Photos app.[5] Built on .NET and as a Universal Windows Application, Story Remix uses AI and 'deep learning to organize and transform your photos and videos into stories.'

Story Remix lets users create videos from pictures and songs in the Photos app or by importing them. It allows users to add transitions, 3D effects, soundtracks, and styles. It also allows users to add 3D animations into their video. Additional themes and effects can also be used by using Microsoft's Photo Add-On app which is in the Windows Store[3].
