who were Avicii's enemies?
how much money did he owe? CorvetteZ51 (talk) 09:15, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
"Charitable Works" or Philanthropy
What's the difference here? Isn't "Philanthropy" usually used for Wiki articles?
FEED was started by Lauren Bush, it's not the same organization as Feeding America. Did he give money to FEED or did he give money to Feeding America?
His name
So I love when Wikipedia has pronunciation guides, but "pronounced as Av-ee-ch-ii" is totally ambiguous. 'ii' is not a conventional spelling of any sound in English and therefore should not be used. Anyone else know? cullen (talk) 14:59, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
It should be pronounced "Av-ee-ch-ee". 87.254.76.220 (talk) 21:05, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
- On a similar note, he shares his real name (Tim Bergling) with the author of Sissyphobia: Gay Men and Effeminate Behavior, so his name should be a disambiguation page rather than a straight redirect to Avicii. Julyo (talk) 04:30, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
On another note, many bergling's changed or used the name berg instead of their real surname due to the spy and 'traitor' stig bergling — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.90.86.142 (talk) 15:38, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
Malo?
no mention of the single "Malo" in here? :( --84.62.153.102 (talk) 01:41, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
I don't see "Bom" anywhere here either, and what about the single "Flying Boff" with DJ Daaar? 87.254.76.220 (talk) 21:05, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
Verification?
Taken from article: "Surprisingly enough, Bergling has admitted many times that even he hates techno music; stating that it is annoying and hurts his head. Contrary to popular belief, Berling actually listens to Blink 182 while performing."
Where has he admitted this several times? Removing from the article, please feel free to place it back in once a source is found. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.145.27.105 (talk) 06:05, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
That's probably rubbish. People who produce techno music obviously like techno music; otherwise they wouldn't make it and instead Bergling would go and be a wanna-be punk with the rest of Blink 182 and Green Day, ect. I think that this person is just a fan of pop music and decided to make out that Avicii liked them too after he heard Levels on the radio like everybody else who actually doesn't like Avicii, but likes this song! I was listening to Tim Berg before Avicii came out! 87.254.76.220 (talk) 21:09, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
Tim's music is not "techno." It is more of a dance-ish, house-ish sound. He has not produced any techno. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.242.183.141 (talk) 04:41, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
References in the "Touring" section
There's a list of "Avicii appeared at XYZ" in there. Some have references, many do not. The unreferenced entries should be referenced or deleted per WP:V. I've removed the POV claim that the Dragon-i is "world famous"; Avicii's appearance there is marginally WP:CRYSTAL anyway, and can't be verified from the http://www.dragon-i.com.hk/ website (whose "upcoming events" section is under construction). 86.159.118.40 (talk) 00:33, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
- Can I add further that such a list of where Avicii has toured is not necessary. We cannot keep adding every tour stop ever to this list or the wiki would be just too long as well as incredibly and unnecessarily in-depth. Can someone knowledgeable on the subject please clean-up that section, put it into a table, or even create a new page for it?

Touring
Is it really necessary to have every single place Avicii has played in listed? Might as well just take a picture of his passport. Could someone who is knowledgeable in his tour dates please clean it up? Zadora13 (talk) 02:30, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
GOSSIP COLUMN WARNING
Can someone please monitor the minion deleting the citation requests. Minion: I hate to break it to you, but Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that only allows CITED published material. The reason I am inserting these requests for citation, is to prove that the infomration is or isn't ORIGINAL RESEARCH. I'm sorry but this is just how Wikipedia works, regardless if you think the data is useful or not. Even the DJs themselves, that I am referencing, aren't allowed to have their minions come on here and create a gossip column for them. Wikipedia is not a gossip column written by fans of DJs, who want to start a career in journalism. Wikipedia is also not a free advertisement mechanism to be used by 'dj followers' keeping tabs on their master. When you provide a citation, do not use this as an opportunity to delete all other citation requests in the paragraph. Please provide the citations for each sentence. I will remind you, that it is important that the data is legally sourced. Wikipedia technically might be sued otherwise, and none of us want this.
RE: DISCOGS AS A SOURCE. Discogs is a viable source, as a recording is technically published. However, discogs as a citation cannot be used as a makeshift source to support original research. Meaning if a writer fathoms delusions in his head, about a specific release, then publishes it on Wikipedia, the data has to clearly be accessible visually on discogs, and be absent of peacock minion terminology. What I mean is, the writing on Wikipedia could state: "John Doe released a CD titled Rave Mania in 1993. Then provide the citation. But if a DJ worshipper starts obsessively writing hype about their master, this ORIGINAL RESEARCH is not allowed - hence we are getting into gossip column territory. Wikipedia is not the National Enquirer.Danceking5 (talk) 06:31, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Please change "2007 - 2009 Career Beginnings" to "2007 Career beginnings"
Please add "2008 to 2011"
Then please add "In early 2008 Vicious Recordings label owner and A&R manager Andy Van visited Sweden while on tour with his act Vandalism and consequently Vicious signed Avicii in May 2008. 10 singles were released with the label beginning with “The Sound Of Now”, followed by “Muja”, “So Excited”, “Even” (a collaboration with Sebastien Drums), “Bom”, “My Feelings For You” (again with Sebastien Drums and which was Avicii’s first number one single on Beatport), “Malo” “Streetdancer”, “Snus” (another collaboration with Sebastien Drums) and his final Vicious Recordings release “Jailbait” in May 2011. During this period Vicious licensed the various singles to be released by other labels including Ultra Recordings (USA), AATW (UK), Blanco Y Negro (Spain), SPG Records (Canada), Spinnin (Holland), Superstar Recordings (Germany), Vidisco (Portugal), Time Recordings (Italy), Lifted Music (Scandanavia) and Work Machine (France). Avicii also released several tracks on other labels while signed to Vicious including “Ryu” and “Strutnut” on Mixmash and his debut as Tim Berg “Fade Into Darkness”.
Itunes Australia will have all the single release dates, as will Beatport, for all Vicious releases. Licensed singles will appear on the other labels releases (Ultra released single on Itunes USA / AATW singles on Itunes UK).

Upcoming album and songs
Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii, posted an Instagram post indicating that there are upcoming songs, which may be featured on the next album. Since the article is semi-protective, only an editor/admin can change some of the latest news about upcoming songs. See his instagram. This was confirmed through his Facebook and he has released teasers of the new songs prior to his upcoming EP that will be released on the 10th August.

Full protection is now active
Since a good amount of editors are failing to provide any references required in order to make these edits per Wikipedia's BLP policy, the page is now fully protected. Once reliable sources are listed here, I'll consider lowering it. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 17:31, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- References that meet the requirements outlined in WP:BLPRS have since been provided here, and the edit protection has been lowered to extended confirmed protection. I owe a sincere "thank you" to those that took the time to locate and list sources here so that the information could be verified. BLP is taken very seriously on Wikipedia, and full protection became necessary when edits from confirmed and extended confirmed editors came pouring in and were adding death dates and details without any references cited at all to support the content - that's a huge no-no! Please keep this in mind in the future when making edits to BLPs to reflect information of this magnitude. Thanks :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 17:54, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

- Dear Emir of Wikipedia, I still didn't understand the reason for removing the content I added to the article, after carefully reading your edit summary. Can you please tell why the information provided was not relevant for the article? Vs6507 21:46, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- @VS6507: Why is his past mentioned unchronologically as well as being randomly in a death section? This could be relevant in the article, but putting next to the information about his death seems random and/or implying that it was a factor despite the preceding sentence saying otherwise. We should also make care with BLPs (that also applies to recently deceased) to use high quality sources and not tabloids, especially for conscientious claims. --Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 22:02, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- I disagree. As you can see here there is an example what has led to death (under section Death) of the famous neurologist. So it would be appropriate to put the information about his illness before his death which is logical, and also there are certainly other sources confirming more or less what is said in the Sun. I will try to add as much as I can as more well referenced information as possible as new reliable sources come up. Vs6507 22:23, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

Avicii's name
It is spelled incorrect. (sorry for my spelling)It schould be spelled Avicii, not Avicci. This shifts thruout the whole text. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.209.61.201 (talk) 08:12, 21 April 2018 (UTC)

"He was regarded as a pioneer in electronic dance music."[1] KingAndGod 08:52, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
- Already done Many mentions of his accolades. Only the news article's header refers to him as a pioneer. I think his significant influence on electronic dance music is evident in the article already. Waddie96 (talk) 10:25, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
Appendix "burst"
It seems that in addition to the pancreatitis, his appendix burst. This precipitated the gallbladder and appendix removal surgery. But the source I found is unclear about the date this occurred. In any case, a ruptured appendix is a major health problem, equal to or worse than acute pancreatitis, and should be included in the article. Abductive (reasoning) 18:17, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
