Saphan Chang Rongsi (Template:Lang-th) is an one bridge and namesake crossroads in the area of Rattanakosin Island or inner city, Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang sub-district, Phra Nakhon district, Bangkok. It's the bridge across Khlong Khu Mueang Doem (old city moat) and links Bamrung Mueang, Rachini with Atsadang roads, located in the end of Kanlayana Maitri road behind Ministry of Defense and opposite the front of Ministry of Interior. Can be considered as the beginning of Bamrung Mueang road.

Its name means "elephant bridge at rice mill", due to it's a bridge that leads into inner city of war elephant troops after the war in the early Rattanakosin period. It was originally a wooden bridge and there're three similar bridges, but they was demolished at a later time. For this bridge was called Saphan Chang Rongsi. Since there were royal rice mill nearby, they were called so as not to be confused with other bridges.

Until in the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), Prince Damrong Rajanubhab was the chancellor of the interior, he restored the bridge in 1910. The feature is sculptures of dogs' heads at the end pieces, that refers to year of the dog which matches his Chinese zodiac.[1]

Saphan Chang Rongsi has been registered as an ancient monument of Bangkok since 1988.[2]
