Cathay Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. (Chinese: 國泰金融控股股份有限公司; TWSE: 2882; LSE: CFHS) is a financial holding company in Taiwan, Republic of China. And it is a core company of Linyuan Group.

History

Cathay Financial Center is located at Xinyi District, Taipei City.

The predecessor of Cathay Financial Holdings can be traced back to LinYuan Group.

On the end of 2001, due to the first financial reform in Taiwan, LinYuan Group established Cathay Financial Holdings Co., Ltd.

In 2003, the United World Chinese Commercial Bank (UWCCB; Chinese: 世華聯合商業銀行) was merged with the former Cathay Commercial Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Financial Holding Company; UWCCB was the surviving bank but the merged bank was renamed to Cathay United Bank.
