Daana Paani is a Punjabi film starring Jimmy Sheirgill & Simi Chahal. It is a family movie released on 4 May 2018 worldwide, [1]and is directed by Taranvir Singh Jagpal and written by Jass Grewal.
Plot
Mehtaab Singh, an army officer, goes to the village of Ahlowal and meets Basant Kaur . Then the story begins in 1962 and is a biography of Basant Kaur, documenting her painful life of being separated from her mother.[2]

The film had a fair opening in India and other territories . Running with Avengers: Infinity War and 102 Not Out, it collected ₹0.5 crores in India on its opening day and approximately ₹2 crores (domestic) in its first weekend and ₹3.9 crores (worldwide).[5]. Movie has grossed $180,281 in Australia & $55,551 from New Zealand.[6]
