- @WikiEditor1217: I looked through all four refs in the article and found no mention of Flash Rose. Could you please provide a specific link? Also, to see Wikipedia’s eligibility guidelines for Motorsport drivers, please see WP:NMOTORSPORT. Thank you. Willsome429 (talk) 01:17, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
Fox Crossing, Wisconsin
Many thanks for starting the Fox Crossing, Wisconsin article-RFD (talk) 15:31, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
My pleasure. I had heard about it on the local news and figured that I might as well do it since it was not created a day after incorporation.Willsome429 (talk) 18:46, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
Sentence case
Keep in mind that Wikipedia uses sentence case, for everything including page titles, section titles, and subsection titles. For example, on the Matt Frahm page, the "Racing Career" section should be typed as "Racing career," the "Early Years" section as "Early years," etc. The exception is proper nouns such as "Xfinity Series." This one is correct. Lizard (talk) 02:38, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

March 2017
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Road America 180 a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. — JJMC89 (T·C) 23:47, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, didn’t realize that until you enlightened me. I’ve put it into practice several times since you told me that. Thank you for the tip! Willsome429 (talk) 14:48, 2 January 2018 (UTC) PRINT THE TRUTH!You keep relaying false information and you need to get your facts straight!

DYK for Chad Finchum
On 23 December 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Chad Finchum, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Chad Finchum began racing go-karts at age 7, logging more than 200 wins by age 13? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Chad Finchum. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Chad Finchum), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Autopatrolled granted
Hi Willsome429, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Alex Shih (talk) 05:43, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 17
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tyler Dippel, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wallkill, New York (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:50, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
Rollback granted
Hi Willsome429. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 18:42, 24 March 2018 (UTC)

ratings
Were you able to find a way to find the viewership numbers for the races? Johnsmith2116 (talk) 03:24, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Johnsmith2116: Jayski has the ratings, looks like it's a field in the infobox of each individual race. I'll work on updating this year's races as the numbers come out. Willsome429 (talk) 13:48, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
Rollback
Hi, it's my understanding that unsourced material can be challenged and removed. Also, I made a change in a reference where the old source was a tweet, which I replaced with an ESPN article. I don't think a tweet can be used as a source. You rolled that back as well with your mass rollback. Please advise, thanks! Amsgearing (talk) 22:59, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Amsgearing: Unsourced material can be challenged and removed, in that order. I would have appreciated a post on the talk page first. Many other articles of the same type have that kind of section, I guess I just didn’t keep track of sources this time around. When I have a good chunk of time, I’ll add sources for all, because all can be sourced (and I’m an inclusionist). As for the tweet/ESPN, that was the right move. Thanks.Willsome429 (talk) 23:03, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. It just seemed like a ton of unsourced detail, to the point where it read more like a fan page than an encyclopedia entry. I agree that if there's good sourcing for all of it, it's perfectly acceptable. Amsgearing (talk) 23:19, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
New page reviewer granted
Hello Willsome429. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia; if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.
- URGENT: Please consider helping get the huge backlog down to a manageable number of pages as soon as possible.
- Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
- You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
- Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
- Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. ~ Amory (u • t • c) 15:19, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

I think it's total BS that users with zero motorsports knowledge come in and change the articles. THEY should be the ones obligated to start talk page discussions, not me. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 15:10, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
- @GhostOfDanGurney: Copyright rules are copyright rules. I try and stay out of it as much as I can and always respect when images are taken off. That’s why users that don’t specialize in copyright rules are encouraged to ask questions. Willsome429 (talk) 15:16, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
- @GhostOfDanGurney: Please also remember that Wikipedia does not tolerate ad hominem attacks on editors. Even though you’re passionate, please try to treat other editors with respect. Willsome429 (talk) 15:35, 11 May 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.11 25 May 2018
ACTRIAL:
- WP:ACREQ has been implemented. The flow at the feed has dropped back to the levels during the trial. However, the backlog is on the rise again so please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day; a backlog approaching 5,000 is still far too high. An effort is also needed to ensure that older unsuitable older pages at the back of the queue do not get automatically indexed for Google.
Deletion tags
- Do bear in mind that articles in the feed showing the trash can icon may have been tagged by inexperienced or non NPR rights holders. They require your further verification.
Backlog drive:
- A backlog drive will take place from 10 through 20 June. Check out our talk page at WT:NPR for more details. NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.
Editathons
- There will be a large increase in the number of editathons in June. Please be gentle with new pages that obviously come from good faith participants, especially articles from developing economies and ones about female subjects. Consider using the 'move to draft' tool rather than bluntly tagging articles that may have potential but which cannot yet reside in mainspace.
Paid editing - new policy
- Now that ACTRIAL is ACREQ, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary. There is a new global WMF policy that requires paid editors to connect to their adverts.
Subject-specific notability guidelines
- The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant BEFORE nominating an article for deletion.
- Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for organisations and companies.
Not English
- A common issue: Pages not in English or poor, unattributed machine translations should not reside in main space even if they are stubs. Please ensure you are familiar with WP:NPPNE. Check in Google for the language and content, tag as required, then move to draft if they do have potential.
News
- Development is underway by the WMF on upgrades to the New Pages Feed, in particular ORES features that will help to identify COPYVIOs, and more granular options for selecting articles to review.
- The next issue of The Signpost has been published. The newspaper is one of the best ways to stay up to date with news and new developments. between our newsletters.

Draft reviews
Hey Willsome429, thanks for reviewing my pages! I also made a draft at Kevin Donahue (racing driver) and helped contribute to Kyle Donahue, and would appreciate if you could review those as well. Thanks! GeorgeMHall (talk) 01:49, 26 May 2018 (UTC)
- @GeorgeMHall: The drafts are for the folks over at Articles for Creation to do. I'm part of a separate task force, the new page patrol. Don't worry, although it will take some time, the articles will get reviewed. Thanks again for the efforts, and if you haven't yet, make sure to sign up at WikiProject NASCAR at this page. Fix issues
Hello. I had already seen your tag in my talk page. But I still don't know what problems I need to fix in that page. Can you help me? Thank you! --Ledinhphublxm (talk) 15:27, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Ledinhphublxm: Some of the references on the page, like the ones in the “Qualifying rounds” and “Results” sections, consist of formatted external links, not citations. Therefore, they do not show up at the bottom of the page in the “References” section. Convert those links using the “Cite web” template and you’re good to go. Willsome429 (say hey or see my edits!) 15:38, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
Twitter and the team's official website are NOT reliable sources
Hi, just saw your comments in regards: 2017–18_Dallas_Fuel_season on my talk page and I can't help but disagree.
From my understanding a team's twitter or official website are primary sources, and primary sources are allowed to be used in certain cases. In my case I specifically only ever use a team's offical twitter to quote the original signing date of an esports personnel. The reason I do this is because I've found secondary sources usually don't mention the signing date, unless in the rare case they embed the original tweet, and as a result only have a publication date which generally is a day or two late to be used accurately. Seeing as I don't interrupt the primary sources and I'm just reiterating facts I don't see the issue. Don't get me wrong, secondary sources with the tweets embedded or singing dates mentioned might be preferred, but using the primary source isn't against any guidelines as far as I'm aware.
- Primary sources can be reliable, and they can be used. Sometimes, a primary source is even the best possible source, such as when you are supporting a direct quotation. In such cases, the original document is the best source because the original document will be free of any errors or misquotations introduced by subsequent sources. Wikipedia:Identifying and using primary sources#"Primary" does not mean "bad"
- The organization's own website is an acceptable (although possibly incomplete) primary‡ source for information about what the company says about itself and for most basic facts about its history, products, employees, finances, and facilities. Wikipedia:Identifying and using primary sources#Primary sources should be used carefully
- Any interpretation of primary source material requires a reliable secondary source for that interpretation. A primary source may only be used on Wikipedia to make straightforward, descriptive statements of facts that can be verified by any educated person with access to the primary source but without further, specialized knowledge. Wikipedia:No original research#Primary, secondary and tertiary sources
- Although specific facts may be taken from primary sources, secondary sources that present the same material are preferred. Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources#Primary, secondary, and tertiary sources
