Satyavati Rathod popularly known by her TV name as Mangli (born 17 August 1989) is an Indian folk singer, television anchor.[1][1] She is popular for her Telangana folk songs and does events in India and abroad.[1]

Early life

Mangli was born in a banjara community. She did her graduation in classical music and wanted to become a music teacher. Her father encouraged her to become a singer.

Career

Mangli wanted to become a music teacher or a singer.

V6 News

She got her first break in her career in 2013, when she was invited as a guest artist on Telugu News channel, V6 News for a Dasara festival Special show called as Dhoom Dham. Her popular show on V6 News, where she played as Matakari Mangli, on the satirical news show, Teenmaar News, along with Bithiri Sathi and Savithrakka was a big hit. Her most popular song is Rela Re Rela Ra.

HMTV

She worked with HMTV news channel's, Jordan News on the satirical news show along with Sujatha.[2]

Mic TV

She is presently working with a web channel, MIC TV as an anchor and folk song singer. She interviews celebrities called as Mangli Muchata with. She sings songs on Telangana festivals like Bathukamma, Bonalu, Telangana Formation Day etc. that are very popular on Mic TV's YouTube channel.

Her latest song, Orugallu Kotanadugu, for 2018 Telangana Formation Day has become a huge hit.[3][4]

Singing career

She sang for some Tollywood movies like Sapthagiri Express, Raj Mahal, Needhi Naadi Oka Katha, George Reddy etc.
