WWE is a professional wrestling promotion based out of Stamford, Connecticut. Title reigns are either determined by professional wrestling matches or are awarded to a wrestler, as a result of the culmination of various scripted storylines. The WWE splits its main roster into two distinctive brands, Raw and SmackDown, as well as a developmental brand, NXT, with each having their own set of championships. There are five active singles championships for male wrestlers, two active championships for female wrestlers, and two active tag team championships between Raw and SmackDown, and two male, one female, and one tag team championship on NXT. There is also one championship representing the United Kingdom, which was created to be the centerpiece of an upcoming UK-based brand to debut in July 2018, but has also been defended in NXT as well as on independent shows. Championships for the U.K.'s women and tag team divisions will debut along with the brand in July 2018.

Between the four currently active brands, 18 wrestlers hold the championships. The list includes the number of times the wrestler has held the title, the date and location of the win, and a description of the winning bout. The following is correct as of January 9, 2025.

Current champions

At the top of WWE's championship hierarchy are the WWE Universal Championship on Raw and the WWE Championship on SmackDown. The Universal Champion is Brock Lesnar, who is in his first reign. He defeated Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 on April 2, 2017. The WWE Champion is AJ Styles, who is in his second reign. He won the title on the November 7, 2017, edition of SmackDown Live by defeating Jinder Mahal.

Secondary titles in WWE include the WWE Intercontinental Championship for Raw and the WWE United States Championship for SmackDown. The Intercontinental Championship is held by Dolph Ziggler, who is in his sixth reign. He won the title by defeating Seth Rollins on the June 18 edition of Raw. The United States Championship is held by Jeff Hardy, who is in his first reign. He won the title by defeating Jinder Mahal on the April 16, 2018, episode of Raw.

The WWE Cruiserweight Championship is part of the Raw brand and is for wrestlers 205 lb (93 kg) and under. It is defended on Raw and the cruiserweight-exclusive 205 Live.[1] The title is held by Cedric Alexander, who is in his first reign. He won the vacant title by defeating Mustafa Ali in the finals of a 16-man tournament on April 8, 2018, on the WrestleMania 34 pre-show.

The WWE Raw Women's Championship is held by Alexa Bliss, who is in her third reign. She defeated Nia Jax on June 17, 2018, at Money in the Bank by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract. The WWE SmackDown Women's Championship is held by first-time champion Carmella. She won the title by defeating Charlotte Flair on the April 10, 2018, edition of SmackDown Live after cashing in her Money in the Bank contract.

The WWE Raw Tag Team Championship is currently held by Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy, who are in their first reign as a tag team and Hardy's third individually. They won the vacant titles by defeating Cesaro and Sheamus at the Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27, 2018. The WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship is held by The Bludgeon Brothers (Harper and Rowan), who are in their first reign as a team, and the second for Harper individually. They won the titles by defeating Big E and Kofi Kingston of The New Day and former champions The Usos (Jey and Jimmy Uso) in a triple threat tag team match on April 8, 2018, at WrestleMania 34.

The top title of NXT is the NXT Championship, which is held by Aleister Black, who is in his first reign. He won the title by defeating Andrade "Cien" Almas on April 7, 2018, at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans. The secondary title of NXT is the NXT North American Championship, which is held by Adam Cole. He defeated EC3, Killian Dain, Lars Sullivan, Ricochet, and Velveteen Dream in a six-way ladder match on April 7, 2018, at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans to become the inaugural champion. The NXT Women's Championship is held by first-time champion Shayna Baszler. She won the title by defeating Ember Moon at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans. The NXT Tag Team Championship is held by first-time title holders The Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, and Roderick Strong). Fish and O'Reilly originally won the titles as a duo by defeating Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe of Sanity on the November 29, 2017, taping of NXT (aired December 20), but after Fish suffered a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee, Cole, also a member of the group, defended the title in place of Fish at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, but was not recognized as champion. Strong joined the group following the title defense at that event, and he along with Fish and O'Reilly are recognized as champions under the Freebird Rule.

The WWE United Kingdom Championship will be the top championship of WWE's U.K.-based brand set to debut in July 2018, but is currently being defended in NXT, as well as in U.K.-based independent promotions; the only active WWE championship to be defended outside of WWE. The champion is Pete Dunne, who is in his first reign. He won the title by defeating Tyler Bate at NXT TakeOver: Chicago. Championships for the U.K's women and tag team divisions will also debut along with the brand.
