Stop uploading unlicensed images
Please stop. All your edits will be reverted. Images must have source and licence information.
And please do not edit appearances and goals for players unless they are league only. Thank you. Budgiekiller 11:37, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Whateva all this "unlicensed images" hassle is crap.Nobody cares and most of mine are a masterpiece of websearching.Piss off — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arsenal666 (talk • contribs)
- Actually, it isn't 'crap', it's policy. I would advise you to familiarise yourself with the copyright policies of Wikipedia. There are plenty of links here now for you to choose from. Remember, every image you upload without such information will be deleted within seven days, and every edit you make to include such images will be reverted. Cheers! Image copyright problem with Image:Julio cesar.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Julio cesar.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.
Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Budgiekiller 11:42, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

You have been warned
Okay, since you studiously ignore these warnings, the next time you make an edit in a similar way, it will be considered vandalism, and eventually your account will be blocked. Cheers! Budgiekiller 15:55, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'm talking about changing the appearances for Thierry Henry from league-only (which is required) to all appearances. Does that help clarify the situation? Budgiekiller 15:58, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
WHICH edit? You have to admit my pictures are good.ANYWAY, WHO'S GOING TO KNOW IF YOU USE A FEW PICTURES LIKE MINE?WHY WOULD THEY CARE?
Edit
Oh right. So you want to list his appearances & goals FOR ARSENAL as those in the premier league?IT SHOULD BE ALL FIRST-CLASS APPEARANCES.YOU CAN'T CALL THAT VANDALISM
- No, it is vandalism if you persist in making edits contrary to warnings - look at the bottom of the infobox you're editing - it says "Professional club appearances and goals counted for the domestic league only " - DOMESTIC LEAGUE ONLY being the pertinent phrase. Okay? Cheers! Budgiekiller 16:05, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
OK
Fine, but that's pretty close to discrediting him.
- Glad you agree. Cheers! Budgiekiller 16:13, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Hey wait a minute. How do YOU know? STOP FOLLOWING ME!
- I assure you, I'm not following you, I am just monitoring your edits. Budgiekiller 13:38, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
WHY are you monitoring my edits?
- Because you've uploaded several images without source/licence information against advice, and made changes to articles to use said images against advice and changed Henry's stats twice against advice. This could be considered vandalism. I'm just checking no more pages become problematic. Budgiekiller 13:51, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
OK
When you put an image on an article, how do you fram it and put text explaining what it is?

Arsenal666 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I only remove Licensing Tags when I have given information about the author, source, licensing and copyright tag. I don't see why it should remain after I've given my information since I think it means that even if I provide that information it may still delete my photos, which I think are rather good.I hope you agree.
Decline reason:
The copyright tags you added show you have no clue how copyright works or what free content means, it doesn't matter that the images are good looking you can't claim that they are free content unless you can prove that the photographer have explicitly released them under such a license, simply pasting "open source" on everyting you upload does not qualify as providing copyright info. Please take this oppotunity to read and understand Wikipedia:Copyrights, Wikipedia:Image use policy and Wikipedia:Fair use and be more carefull with uploads after you block have expired. -- Sherool (talk) 16:53, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

If I can't edit photo pages, how can I give you the copyright tag?Be reasonable
- You where "only" blocked for 31 hours, you have 7 days to fix those images. Should be plenty of time once the block expire. Read the various copyright and policy pages in the meantime to make sure you can provide the correct info. Simply claiming that they are "open source" again with no proof (link to a statement by the copyright holder, copy of an email where they say the images are released as free license etc) won't do much good. --Sherool (talk) 11:43, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
I don't get it then. I still can't edit pages. This block is going on for more than 31 hours
- Not quite, you where blocked at 16:31, October 28 2006 (UTC), so the block will not expire untill 23:31, 29 October 2006 (UTC), wich is still a few hours away. --Sherool (talk) 16:35, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Also you are not allowed to have (possibly) unfree images on your personal user page. See Wikipedia:User page for details. --Madchester 15:53, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
What DO you mean by "unfree"? You don't want your precious articles' credibility damaged by my pictures? Fine, but what's wrong with me using them on my page?
Anyway, "Madchester", it was all right after I finished with the licensing, author and source information problem and that hassle with "Budgiekiler", so why do YOU have to start something now?
- Unfree (aka fair use images) would be anyting that is not free content, or in other words anyting where the copyright holder have not explicitly stated that anyone is free to use the work in any way. Since I can find no such release for the images you have uploaded they do indeed seem to be unfree (aka fully copyrighted, "all rights reserved" and all that (nope the absense of a © sign changes nothing, per law the default is full copyright protection unless otherwise spesified)), and since Wikipedia is a project to create a free content ensyclopedia, we do not allow unfree images to be used unless there is literaly no other alternative and then only in actual articles (not as decoration on userpages). --Sherool (talk) 22:14, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
What if, when I upload an image, I include the source and someone more experienced and better at at websearching gets the copyright? It IS written no some of the boxes that a more experienced user should try and modify it.
- I wasn't causing you trouble, I was warning you that something like this would happen... If I were you, I'd listen to the advice these other users have offered. You must source and licence your images, and simply declaring an image you've ripped from a website as open source is incorrect. Cheers! Budgiekiller 18:10, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
