- The transition point between named highway designations along a route that has a single number, like where I-80 transitions from running on the Ohio Turnpike to another freeway, if that other freeway had a name.
- The transition point between numbered designations along a single named highway, like where the Ohio Turnpike changes from I-80 to I-76 (and vice versa).
