Asankare is a town in the Asante Akyem South Municipal Assembly of the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The town is known for the Asankare Youth Leadership and Skills Training Institute. The Asankare Youth Leadership and Skills Training Institute is a vocational school established by National Youth Authority, Ghana. As of 2012, Asankare has a settlement population of 2,958 people. Asankare is about 73 kilometres ( 45 mi ) from Kumasi, the Ashanti capital.[1]
