AJAX Undo

Hello Gronk Oz would u happen to know why I get a problem filter tag when I undo edits with AJAX? --VitalPower (talk) 00:29, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, @VitalPower: I'm not sure that I understand the question. Is the article Ajax (programming)? If so, you don't appear to have ever edited that article - so is it some other article instead? What precisely are you trying to do, and what precisely is the error message?--Gronk Oz (talk) 16:30, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Gronk Oz Cheerios for the reply: Check, this out, I seem to activate some kind of filter when I undo edits. VitalPower | talk 19:35, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@VitalPower: I have to admit I have never seen this filter log before. But still ... what precisely are you trying to do, and what precisely is the problem? Did it refuse to make the edit you wanted to do? If so, which one specifically? --Gronk Oz (talk) 02:26, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Reading through Wikipedia:Edit filter I realize that these filters are something I have come across often without realizing it. They often tag certain edits, for instance. The only time it looks like they would cause a problem is if the action associated with a particular edit is "disallow", and even then there should be a link to report if the filter is preventing a genuine edit. But it would be more constructive to talk about a specific situation, so please provide details.--Gronk Oz (talk) 03:15, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

Please help me with... WP:Twinkle, I have read tons about Twinkle and I would really like to use it for vandalism, but mostly for my AfDs and CSDs things, may I please request to be confirmed user to get this, as I still have to wait 48 hours because I am new. I promise I have no intention of bad will and will only do good which I have proven the last 3 days, please may an Admin give me a right to use wp Twinkle? Thanks! - I would very much want to use it now when I am online, as I have proven to understand and contribute well to wikiproject. This is because WP:AFDHOWTO also says Twinkle is the best way to nominate xfd. VitalPower | talk 15:30, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not done Having to wait a few days is not onerous and we have the brief waiting period in place for good reasons. I appreciate your desire to help, but I would suggest working on content creation first. -Ad Orientem (talk) 19:18, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Ad Orientem @Ad Orientem: I respect and understand your executive opinion. I would however ask you if you in anyway please could concider to give me WP:Twinkle rights today, surley as it is only 4 days, 2 days of taking away is not a big deal. And per WP:AFDHOWTO I am struggling a LOT with nominating articles and also with speedy and I would really need Twinkle which I have read dose it all automatically. Thank you sir --VitalPower | talk 19:33, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Plus I can't even move my articles to mainspace such as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Thomas_Panny. VitalPower | talk 19:46, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry. Our auto-confirmed restrictions are in place for good reasons and I can't recall any instance where someone was given that status early unless it was an alt account for an already established editor. Relax and take a deep breath. It's highly unusual for brand new editors to be doing CSD and XFD nominations. Take it slow. -Ad Orientem (talk) 20:02, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ad OrientemOkay fella, by the way, am I allowed to copy https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=User:Winged_Blades_of_Godric&action=edit user page into mine and use his inspiration, look at my user page please. VitalPower | talk 20:04, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page watcher) All edits here are released under a creative commons licence, including User:Winged Blades of Godric's user page design; but also requred is attribution, as you probably know. So asking him is maybe a good idea  :) —SerialNumber54129 paranoia /cheap shit room 20:25, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see you already have...glad to see you didn't copy their SHA-512 designation too  :) Happy editing! —SerialNumber54129 paranoia /cheap shit room 20:29, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am no second account of Josh172!!

Decline reason:

It's a check user block. File any unblock request on your master (original) account. Ad Orientem (talk) 17:55, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@Ad Orientem: Not possible as he has no access to the master's Talk page. Waste of time anyway - this sock is not going to be unblocked for a long time, if ever, considering the abuse here and cross-wiki. Speaking of which, although this account hasn't edited other wikis much, I believe he should be globally locked anyway. Green Giant?--Bbb23 (talk) 18:14, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Bbb23: this is getting depressing. I think every new editor I have dealt with lately has been a sock. -Ad Orientem (talk) 18:33, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Ad Orientem: I'm very sorry. It does you credit that you help new editors. I don't think you should stop, but maybe you should pause a moment just to consider that something might be wrong. In my view, this particular account had lots of signs of not being new.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:39, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Bbb23:  Done as requested. They’ve already triggered filters on Commons and Test. @Ad Orientem: don't lose heart, some newbies actually want to contribute positively. Green Giant (talk) 18:41, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
