KQ Entertainment (also known as KQ PRODUCE (KQ 프로듀스) is a South Korean record label and entertainment agency founded in 2016 by Kim Gyuwook (김규욱).
History
KQ Entertainment was established in June of 2016 and will be managed, by two separate sub-companies, Seven Seasons which was founded in 2013, is a company exclusively responsible for the management of Block B, and KQ Produce, a company in charge of composers and producers.
Seven Seasons will continue to be the management agency for boy group Block B and oversee their activities. KQ Produce hopes to begin producing singers and songwriters in the future to come. [1]
Seven Seasons created a YouTube channel on which they uploaded Block B videos.
On September 17, 2013, Block B announced their pre-released single "Be the Light" via Seven Seasons' YouTube channel.[2] Block B released their first mini-album, Very Good, with Seven Seasons ,on October 2.[3] along with a "Maximum Close Up Version" on October 7[4]
In October 2017, KQ Produce opened official accounts for a male group project temporarily named "KQ FELLAZ". KQ Entertainment revealed that the trainees would participate in the program of YG Entertainment, MIX NINE, to make itself known to the public.
In mid-May 2018, KQ Entertainment revealed that the group traveled to the United States, where the boys will meet with professional dancers and producers to improve their skills and prepare for their debut. The group will show their trip through several episodes that will broadcast on YouTube.
On July 2, 2018, through the official YouTube channel of KQ Entertainment, their first music video entitled "From" was published, where 9 members are shown in the United States, ending their series transmitted by the same platform . [5]
In the description of the same video, KQ Entertainment communicates that although Jun Young participates in the music video and shows his skills in both rap and dance, he will not join the group's debut, thus leaving a group of 8 members.
