Nils Bech (born April 8, 1981, in Hønefoss) is a Norwegian singer who got famous for performing a classic Christmas anthem O Holy Night[1] for the Norwegian TV series Skam. His version of O Holy Night got more than 1 million of streams on Spotify[2] on the day it was published placing him in the top global charts.

Bech was raised in a small Norwegian village and began performing in a very young age when he was singing at the Salvation Army for his grandmother and her friends[3]. At age 10, he began singing classical music and continued doing so till 21 thinking he might do a carrier as an Opera singer[4] but later moved to pop.

He is a frequent guest at events hosted by Norwegian royal family. On April 7, 2017, Bech performed at the 80th birthday of Queen Sonja[5], and on August 29, 2018, he was seen performing his song "Thank you" along with famous Norwegian ballet dancer Silas Henriksen at the ceremony of the 50th anniversary of King and Queen of Norway wedding[6] in the Oslo Cathedral (video). The song tells a story of his grandmother meeting his boyfriend Knut, Bech told on Instagram[7].

In the past Nils Bech has performed in the New Museum in New York[3] and at the Venice Biennale[8].
