"Different World" is a song by Iron Maiden on their 14th studio album, A Matter of Life and Death. The song is the second single from the album, released in November 2006. The song has been stated by the band to be a tribute to Thin Lizzy due to the low sounding melodies sung by Bruce Dickinson that are reminiscent of those Phil Lynott would sing. Speculation exists that some of the cover songs recorded during the album sessions could surface as B-sides, including "Tush" by ZZ Top, "Angel of Death" by Thin Lizzy, "Space Truckin'" by Deep Purple or "Hocus Pocus" by Focus which features drummer Nicko McBrain on vocals.
