Titanyl
Appearance
In inorganic chemistry, titanyl refers to the functional group Ti=O, where the oxo ligand is not bridging but terminal. The term is used more loosely to describe many titanium(IV) oxide complexes. For example titanyl sulfate with the formula TiOSO4, although it does not contain a terminal oxo ligand.
