Accedian
Accedian Networks is a Canadian company that develops network performance monitoring solutions for communication services providers[1] and network performance management and application performance management solutions for large companies and the public sector. Headquartered in Montreal, Canada, Accedian is majority owned by Bridge Growth Partners, an American private equity firm.
History
Accedian was founded by Patrick Ostiguy and 4 partners in 2004.[1] The company originally developed service assurance hardware and software for telecommunications service providers, including mobile network operators, with carrier Ethernet backhaul networks. The first product was a network interface device that would increase the performance of backhaul networks, which link cell towers to central offices. Accedian claimed an installed base of 75,000 cell sites in North America in 2011.[1] Accedian has since expanded its products to support network function virtualization and virtualized equipment for service providers as well as introducing monitoring solutions for cloud computing providers and data centers.
In March 2017, Accedian announced a US$100M investment by Bridge Growth Partners in return for a major equity stake.[2]
In February 2018, Accedian announced that it had acquired Performance Vision of Paris, France for an undisclosed amount. Performance Vision developed network performance management and application performance management solutions for large organizations.[3]

Accedian markets its products under the SkyLIGHT™ brand name, targeting them at 2 business segments: service providers and enterprises.
Service provider
SkyLIGHT VCX is a service assurance and performance monitoring solution for service providers including telecommunication service providers and data center operators.
Enterprise
SkyLIGHT PVX, formerly known as PerformanceVision, is a network performance management (NPM) and application performance management (APM) solution for large private and public sector organizations.
Awards and Recognition
In October 2011, Accedian was named to the top company on the Deloitte Fast 50 list for the fifty fastest growing technology companies in Canada.[4][5]
In 2014, Accedian was named the fastest growing technology company in Canada with first place in the Fast 50 list. Accedian placed second in Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 list for North America.[6]
In February 2016, Accedian won the GLOMO award for best technology enabler at Mobile World Congress as discerned by the GSM Association. for its work with SK Telecom.[7]
In November 2017, Accedian won the Service Virtualization award at the 2017 MEF Forum Awards.[8]
In February 2018, research firm Gartner named Accedian as a Magic Quadrant leader in the network performance monitoring and diagnostics (NPMD) category for the SkyLIGHT PVX network performance management and application performance monitoring platform.[9]
