Charles Corver is a former Dutch football referee. He is mostly remembered for his controversial decisions, or lack thereof, involving goalkeeper Harald Schumacher for his collision with Patrick Battiston, in the historical 1982 World Cup semifinal between Germany and France, in Seville, Spain. But he was the best Dutch referee ever. He was decorated twice. First by de Queen en the association (KNVB-UEFA-FIFA). He was referee by 2 world and 2 European championships. He refereing 4 european cup finals, 10 halffinals and a final worldcup for clubs in Argentina. More than 140 international matches and more than 600 national matches.
