The Principal Secretary to the President of Pakistan is the senior most bureaucratic aide to the President of Pakistan. The position holder is a BPS-22 grade officer, usually belonging to the Pakistan Administrative Service. The Principal Secretary is the administrative head as well as the highest-ranking official of Aiwan-e-Sadr. The Principal Secretary advises and assists the President on all the official business routed through the Aiwan-e-Sadr]], and because of this the PS to President is generally regarded as the most crucial aide to the President.[1]
