Jewel Booth Palmer Middle School is a middle school in the Cobb County School District in the US state of Georgia. The school is located in Kennesaw, just northwest of Atlanta. The school was founded in 2001 and serves students in the Cobb County area. It is also the only AVID National Demonstration School in the state of Georgia[2]. The school mascot is the Panther, and the school colors are black and blue. Palmer hosts 922 students. As of 2015 the principal is Lisa Jackson and the Assistant Principals are Brad Blackman and Linda Corriveau. Palmer also has a Recognized American School Counselors' Association Model Program.

History

Jewel Booth Palmer Middle School was established in 2001. It was named after a prominent educator in the Cobb County School District.[2] The theater at the school is named after Dr. Gerri A. Ray, the first principal of the school
