08:53, 16 June 2017 (UTC) Inclusion of a neglected band: Days of the new (Charlestown, Indiana) ==

Hi all. I propose to include an important grunge (or post-grunge?) band from Charlestown, Indiana, called Days of the new. This band is frequently neglected in most discussions and accounts on grunge bands, but I think at least it deserves to be listed in the 'Notable bands' list in 'Elsewhere in United States'. I would also like to know others opinions on this topic and the reasons why this band has been excluded. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 181.117.4.15 (talk) 18:55, 23 May 2017 (UTC)

I oppose. While they were incredibly talented, they had only three records and kinda faded out of mainstream attention rather quickly. Nirvana, on the other hand, may have had three records, but one went Diamond in the US and they have an immense cultural impact in comparison. They don't have really a lot of notability in comparison to the others, and critics can't really make a majority agreement if they're even real grunge. Hopefully you can understand. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 11:55, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
It seems like you'd be hard pressed to argue they were influential in the genre if they didn't even release their first album until 1997. The genre was declining big time by 1995. Also what you say is true about how they are "frequently neglected in these discussions" of the genre, Wikipedia is not the place to change things like that. Semi-protected edit request on 20 June 2017

The band Soundgarden has been added twice to the list of bands from the Seattle area, first as Soundgarden, then as Sound Garden. Remove the "Sound Garden" one. Is the fourth or so on the list, because the person responsible for its addition ignored alphabetical order too. 5.225.212.61 (talk) 22:50, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

Done Removed Sound Garden. Both link to Soundgarden. Thanks Jim1138 (talk) 23:23, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

Bush

A user keeps removing the sales success of the band Bush. He doesn't give any reason to remove it. The whole Bush was criticized thing isn't a reason and the whole "grunge died when Bush emerged" thing is original research. Besides, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, etc were popular when Bush was popular. Then he says only the first two Bush albums are sourced but the first two Bush albums are the only Bush albums mentioned in the article. Bush being grunge is sourced. Bush's sales success do have to do with the popularity of grunge. Statik N (talk) 03:14, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
