The 2018–19 KNVB Cup, for sponsoring reasons officially called the TOTO KNVB Cup, is the 101st season of the annual Dutch national football cup competition. It commenced on 18 August 2018 with the first of two preliminary rounds and concludes on 5 May 2019 with the final being played at De Kuip in Rotterdam.

The defending champions are Feyenoord from the Eredivisie, who beat AZ 3–0 in the final in the previous season on 30 April 2017.[1]

The winner will automatically qualify for the third preliminary round of the 2019–20 edition of the UEFA Europa League. The winner will also participate in the 2019 edition of the Johan Cruyff Shield, the Dutch Supercup match at the start of the following season between the Cup winner and the champions of the 2018–19 Eredivisie.

Preliminary rounds

The draw for the first and second preliminary round were performed by Ridgeciano Haps on 7 July 2018, and was streamed liveon the website of the KNVB[2][3]

First Preliminary round

In the first preliminary round 58 amateur teams were qualified. Out of these 58, 26 were drawn to pass to the next round. In total 32 amateur items will compete on 18 or 19 August 2018 for a spot in the second preliminary round. The participants are semi-finalists from the district cup tournaments, and teams from the Third Division.

Quarter-Finals

The matches of the quarter-finals take place on 22, 23 and 24 January 2019. From this round on the referees will be assisted by a Video Assistant Referee.

Semi-Finals

The matches of the semi-finals take place on 26, 27 and/or 28 February 2019.

Final

The final will be played on 5 May 2018
