Cast

Production

Bharat began its principal photography in late June 2018,[2] and it will be shot in various locations, including Abu Dhabi, Spain, Malta, Punjab and Delhi.[3][4] Priyanka Chopra, who was cast as one of the leading ladies, opted out of the film days before filming her scenes.[5] Ali Abbas Zafar tweeted that her reason for quitting "is very very special, she told us in the nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her".[6] Nikhil Namit, the CEO of Reel Life Productions, said that she quit due to her engagement with Nick Jonas, and accused her of being a "little unprofessional".[7] Chopra was subsequently replaced with Katrina Kaif.[8]

Soundtrack

Vishal-Shekhar will compose songs for the film and Irshad Kamil is the lyricist. This marks third collaboration among Vishal-Shekhar, Irshad, Zafar and Salman Khan. Vishal Dadlani, Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Haitham Mohammed Rafi, Salman Ali and Sukhwinder Singh are confirmed singers. The film marks fourth collaboration between Atif and Salman Khan in a row after Tubelight, Tiger Zinda Hai and Race 3 and fifth collaboration including Bajrangi Bhaijaan. It is reported that the crew had shot a holi song with Khan and Disha Patani in a large scale at Film City, Mumbai. They also filmed a romantic song with Khan and Katrina Kaif and one with Nora Fatehi in Malta.
