Namaste England (lit.'Hello England') is an upcoming Bollywood romantic comedy film directed and co-produced by Prakhar Bhagat.[2] The film is the sequel to 2007 film Namastey London.[3] The film stars Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Seal in lead roles. It is scheduled for a worldwide release on 18 October 2018.[4] The Principle shoot of the film begins on 23 February 2018 at Amritsar, Punjab.[5] The first poster of the film was released on 14 August 2018.[6]

A man in love Harshad Chopra goes to find his wife Sonam Kapoor to London.

Production

The principal photography of the film began in late-February 2018.[7] The film will be shot in 75 locations including Amritsar, Patiala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Paris, Brussels, London etc.[8] This is the second collaboration between Kapoor and Chopra after Ishaqzaade (2012) which will be followed by Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar (2019).

The album is composed by Mannan Shaah, Badshah and Rishi Rich the lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar, Master Rakesh and Badshah.[10]Music label will be Sony Music India in this film.[11]

Marketing and promotions

The first look of the movie was released on 14 August 2018, by Parineeti and Arjun on their twitter handle.[12]

During the promotional campaigns, the movie landed into controversy when one of the movie posters released had Indian map in the background from which, Aksai Chin region of Jammu and Kashmir was missing.[13]

The official trailer for the film was released on 6 September, 2018.[14]

Release

The film is set to release on 18 October 2018. The film will have a clash with Ayushmann Khurrana's Badhaai Ho which will be released on same day.
