Pentasaurus is a genus of dicynodont of the family Stahleckeriidae that dates to the Late Triassic. It was found in the Lower Elliot Formation of South Africa. The genus contains one species, Pentasaurus goggai.[1]

It is called after the ichnogenus Pentasauropus, since it is suspected that it is the author of its footprints. The name of the species honors Alfred Brown, nicknamed "Gogga", which means "bug" in Afrikaans.[1]
