Michael James Ryan Busbee, known professionally as busbee, is an American songwriter,[1] record producer, publisher and musician from the San Francisco Bay Area.
Biography
busbee was born in Walnut Creek, California and began playing music when he was seven years old. In high school he earned a scholarship to William Paterson University. He then moved to Los Angeles, California where he worked for producer Eric Valentine. After accepting an invitation to move to Nashville, Tennessee, he began writing songs for Crosstown Music, including his first hit as a songwriter, "Summer Nights" by Rascal Flatts.[2] followed by his first No. 1 single, "Our Kind of Love" by Lady Antebellum..[3]
Other artists for whom he has written include Gwen Stefani, Timbaland featuring Katy Perry, Jon Bellion, Kelly Clarkson, and P!nk.
