Diversity
28 genera, 177 species

The Orsolobidae are a six-eyed spider family with about 180 described species in 28 genera. They were separated from the Dysderidae. Several genera were transferred from the Oonopidae.

Distribution

Most genera are endemic to New Zealand and the Australian region.

Several genera occur in southern Africa (Afrilobus, Azanialobus) and South America (Chileolobus, Mallecolobus, Orsolobus, Osornolobus, Falklandia, Losdolobus).
