Peuberty and kidding are not the same things. A goat CANNOT lactate at all within 4-6 weeks of reaching peuberty. It DOES, however reach peak lactation 4-6 weeks after kidding- parturition. This is a serious error in the text and if you will read the source cited it clearly does not say that the goat reaches peak lactation within 4-6 weeks of peuberty.
