Can you help delete two pages.
@Klbrain: Can you delete the page Category:Shirvan and Chardaval County. And can you also delete the page Category:Populated places in Shirvan and Chardaval County. The places listed on these two pages have been moved to the pages Category:Sirvan County; Category:Chardaval County; Category:Populated places in Sirvan County & Category:Populated places in Chardaval County. Shirvan and Chardaval County doesn't exist anymore in Iran since it was broken up.Catfurball (talk) 00:23, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- Can propose them for speedy deletions, and have done so for Category:Populated places in Shirvan and Chardaval County. Klbrain (talk) 10:45, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- Done for Category:Shirvan and Chardaval County too; if you're in the mood for stub sorting, then Category:Shirvan and Chardaval County geography stubs could use some attention to separate into the individual counties; quite a lot for work there though! Klbrain (talk) 10:57, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
Invitation
Dear Catfurball,
You are cordially invited to join the Portals WikiProject.
This is a very active project. We are in the process of completely revamping the entire portal system, and cleaning up the portal namespace. After these are done, we'll be greatly expanding the collections of portals. We have many design discussions going on, and many task types to choose from.
We also have a newsletter, that covers the progress of portal development, and the latest toys.
If you are interested, please feel welcome to sign-up at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Portals#Project_participants.
By the way, I'm very interested in what you think of portals. What do you like most about them? What do they lack that they should have? What can't they do, that you would like them to be able to do?
I look forward to your replies. — The Transhumanist 09:07, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
P.S.: Please {{ping}} me in your reply. Thank you. -TT
Names of new counties.
@Pegship: For Chardaval County some created a page with it spelled like this Chardavol County. So all the cities and villages in that county I changed the spelling to Chardavol County. Know those two other spellings that look like that county they could be the same, but I don't know. For Sirvan County someone created the page Sirvan County. But you don't want to get it confused with Shirvan County which is in North Khorasan Province. Sirvan County is in Ilam County. At Citypopulation they use the spellings Chardavol County and Sirvan County. https://www.citypopulation.de/php/iran-ilam.php
- Thanks for the source, and the heads up about Sirvan. Her Pegship (speak) 16:42, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
Sirvan County and Chardaval County.
@Pegship: Go to https://www.amar.org.ir/englishCatfurball (talk) 16:26, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks, but this site returns an error message that it's been blocked (by what, I don't know). Her Pegship (speak) 16:41, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
Help!
@NeilN: Help 37.255.241.31 has messed up the page Azna, Lorestan this is the third time. I think this person needs to be punished.Catfurball (talk) 20:57, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
Help to delete another page.
@Klbrain: Can you help to delete the page Category:Euro-Africa Division of Seventh-day Adventists. Everything from this page I've moved to the page Category:Inter-European Divison of Seventh-day Adventists. And can you fix the mistake that I made on the new page, Inter-European Divison of Seventh-day Adventists is to be blue, but I made a type error. Catfurball (talk) 18:36, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
- I've used a template:category redirect rather going through deletion, although either would be reasonable in this case, I think. I think that I've fixed the problem you were referring to on the other page. Klbrain (talk) 20:11, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
It's Alive!
@Pegship: You read right! Statistical Center of Iran is working again.Catfurball (talk) 19:19, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
Sorry!
@The Transhumanist: I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond, I'm so very busy. I'm not really interested, but I do have a suggestion. Many new Iran city articles need to be created. Many villages have been upgraded to city and also many new cities got created by villages merging together. Google Earth shows some of these new cities. You can find these new cities listed at List of cities in Iran by province.
- That is somewhat out of the scope of the portals project. We're trying to get the portals upgraded, and have time for little else. (We're under pressure to achieve results, which we are doing at a rapid rate.) Updating Iranian city coverage is left up to WikiProject Iran to deal with. If you have any comments related to portals, please let me know. Thank you. — The Transhumanist 20:03, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
New Counties
@The Transhumanist: For Iran I suggest that someone create the new counties Fardis County; Nimruz County & Hamun County.Catfurball (talk) 15:41, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
Help! I made an oops.
@Klbrain: I made an extra Category:Populated places in Sistan & Baluchistan Province page by accident & talk page. This happened when I created the page Category:Populated places in Nimruz County, it showed Category:Populated places in Sistan & Baluchistan red, when it should have been blue. Both Category:Populated places in Nimruz County & Category:Populated places in Hamun County are on the smaller category page, when they should be on the larger page. For some weird reason they didn't go to the larger page. Can you merge the smaller category with the larger category.Catfurball (talk) 18:22, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't understand what the problem with the current categories is. Klbrain (talk) 21:21, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
Ben County & Saman County
@Pegship: I just did some new work on Ben County & Saman County today.Catfurball (talk) 20:44, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
Please Merge page
@Klbrain: There are two Category:Populated places in Sistan & Baluchistan Province pages. The majority of the counties are on the bigger page. But the pages Category:Populated places in Nimruz County & Category:Populated places in Hamun County are on the smaller page, for weird reason they wouldn't go to the bigger page. I want you to merge the smaller Category:Populated places in Sistan & Baluchistan Province page with the bigger Category:Populated places in Sistan & Baluchistan Province page.Catfurball (talk) 21:34, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
I found what I did wrong.
@Klbrain: I put Category:Populated places in Nimruz County & Category:Populated places in Hamun County on the page Category:Populated places in Sistan & Baluchestan Province by mistake. Instead they should've been put on the page Category:Populated places in Sistan and Baluchestan Province. The page Category:Populated places in Sistan & Baluchestan Province I accidently created.Catfurball (talk) 17:20, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
I emptied a page.
@Klbrain: I emptied the page Category:Shirvan and Chardaval County geography stubs can you terminate it for me.Catfurball (talk) 20:34, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
Can you finish the template pages for me.
@JJMC89: Can you go to the pages Category:Sirvan County geography stubs & Category:Chardavol County geography stubs for me. I need you to finish the template geo-stubs for me I find it way to confusing to understand. I've got the pages created for these template geo-stubs to be finished. You don't need to worry about the talk pages they were very easy for me to create.Catfurball (talk) 21:06, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
- I repaired {{Sirvan-geo-stub}} from the template's history and created {{Chardavol-geo-stub}} based on that. Adjust as needed. — JJMC89 (T·C) 02:03, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
Can you help with deleting some categories.
@AmericanAir88: Can you delete Category:Chinese Seventh-day Adventists, I emptied this category and moved the person to the Category:Former Seventh-day Adventists. Can you also delete Category:Populated places in Sistan & Baluchistan Province, I made this category by mistake. I emptied that category and moved the two new counties correctly to Category:Populated places in Sistan and Baluchestan Province.Catfurball (talk) 21:44, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- I can tag it for deletion but only admins can delete and I am not currently an admin. AmericanAir88(talk) 22:17, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- The mistake category has been deleted but they will not grant deletion on the first one as you dod not create it. Please address that one on your own as I have no say in what gets deleted. AmericanAir88(talk) 02:17, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for contributing to the article List of Seventh-day Adventists. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. There is a problem help!
@Bistropha: There is a problem with the county articles in Isfahan Province. The templates at the bottom of the articles have the words in black when they should be blue instead. I don't know what is causing the problem, it might be because of spelling changes. The counties are Ardestan County, Isfahan County, Lenjan County, Shahin Shahr and Meymeh County, Khomeyni Shahr County, Khansar County, Semirom County, Faridan County, Fereydunshahr County, Falavarjan County, Kashan County, Golpayegan County, Mobarakeh County, Nain County, Najafabad County, Dehaqan County, Shahreza County, Borkhar County, Tiran and Karvan County, Chadegan County, Buin va Miandasht County, Khur and Biabanak County & Natanz County.Catfurball (talk) 19:35, 4 October 2018 (UTC)

Portal: Johann Sebastian Bach
@The Transhumanist: You made a mistake on the Portal: Johann Sebastian Bach.Catfurball (talk) 17:44, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
- I just looked at it, and didn't find any. It could be that you spotted a bug. Sometimes the underlying lua modules have trouble parsing the wikicode of particular articles. Our lua programmers fix them as we spot them, but in order to do so, they need to know what article was being displayed at the time the bug occurred.
- The two main types of bugs we've been running into are 1) truncation bugs, which cut the portal short, and 2) spewing bugs, which cause the portal to show a bunch of wikicode and the contents of every entry in a slideshow instead of just the current entry.
- If you supply me with more details, I may be able to fix the mistake you mentioned. Sincerely, — The Transhumanist 15:26, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
@The Transhumanist: Someone fixed the problem that I saw yesterday, but no name was left.Catfurball (talk) 16:16, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
- The last edit on the portal was on the 20th. What you probably saw was a bug, like I described above. The portal is powered by the lua module Excerpt slideshow, and possibly another one as well.
- The portal resets every time the page is purged, and starts with a different article in the general articles slideshow. If the starting page has wikicode that the lua module can't yet handle, then an error occurs.
- If you come across a bug in a portal, take note of the article being displayed, and then let me know, and then report the problem at WT:WPPORTD.
- By the way, what was it doing before you contacted me? What was the mistake you saw? Thank you. — The Transhumanist 19:46, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
@The Transhumanist: The problem was in the Did you know section. There were very large red words.Catfurball (talk) 20:15, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
Anna Samusionek
@Cdjp1: Can you translate the Wikipedia article Anna Samusionek, it is in Polish & there are also many websites about her, but sadly all are in Polish. There is no English website on her.Catfurball (talk) 23:25, 4 October 2018 (UTC)
Your changes to the article are awful. It reads like a resume with excessive detail. With all the redlinks, it's ugly. IMDb should be an EL; it should not be used as a reference. You should not have removed the sources tag because the only "references" you have are IMDb (called something else as a title), the subject's blog, which is rarely if ever a reliable source for a BLP, and the Chapman website, also not a secondary source. As an aside, do not use ampersands in Wikipedia articles; spell out the word.
I am going to revert all of your changes because none is worth saving. I strongly urge you to step away from the article until you gain the competence to edit constructively. However, if you insist on participating on improving the article, then go to the Talk page and try to gain consensus for your changes.--Bbb23 (talk) 21:55, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
Help Selected biography!
@The Transhumanist: Marchjuly has illegally stopped the slide show in the selected biography section for the Portal:Seventh-day Adventist Church just because the slide show was transluded. That's crazy, if this person has done this to the portal page that person will try doing it to the portal pages that you've created. Can you restore the slide show, but don't bother with the picture that is illegal apparently by Wikipedia.Catfurball (talk) 22:37, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
- I couldn't figure out what you were talking about, so I just upgraded the whole portal to the new design. It's all on one page, which makes it very easy to track changes to it. The new biography section shows excerpts from the articles on List of Seventh-day Adventists. Cheers. — The Transhumanist 01:28, 12 October 2018 (UTC)

Wikipedia rules broken big time. Help!
@Sphilbrick: A person using the name Joebartlett edited information on the article page Joseph R. Bartlett. I believe this person edited their own Wikipedia article, which is way illegal. Help!Catfurball (talk) 15:46, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
Dr. Clerk
@Catfurball I understand the subject of the article is an important member of the SDA Church. However, this biography is about sleep medicine, related to academia so any tag should be on medical science not on the theology of Adventism. As a compromise, we can leave the small SDA biographical portal tag beneath the page and remove the large Adventist box under the main infobox as it is not relevant to the content of the article. Thanks. Kandymotownie 13:36, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
Error need help on portal!
@The Transhumanist: The Portal:Seventh-day Adventist Church is saying at the bottom of the page, Cite error: The named reference NYT0504 was invoked but never defined (see the help page).Catfurball (talk) 17:05, 17 October 2018 (UTC)
- I'm not seeing the error (the page resets with randomized content every time it displays). The next time you spot an error, what you need to do is post a bug report at WT:WPPORTD. Include in your report the name of the portal, the name of the article being displayed in "Selected general articles", and what the error is. Our Lua programmers will then tackle the problem and fix the underlying modules that make the portal work. — The Transhumanist 01:51, 18 October 2018 (UTC)

Merger request
@AmericanAir88: Category:American Seventh-day Adventist clergy & Category: Seventh-day Adventist clergy by nationality. These are two worthless junk categories that should have never been created, they were created by a banned sockpuppet. Can you merge them into the Category:Seventh-day Adventist clergy.Catfurball (talk) 16:57, 30 October 2018 (UTC)

Reversions
Hi, I'd like to talk to you about recent reversions made on Seventh-day Adventist Church in India and Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nigeria. You did not lay out the reasons as to why you reverted these changes, so I'm going to ask you here why you did. None of the sources go to show that it is either a major Christian denomination or that it has a significant presence, and as such, it is original research. In order to make the claims that the article is making, an accompanying reliable secondary source must be available to make those claims, not the editors gleaning information from numbers. Secondly, I'm not sure why you reverted my edit where I changed Sub Fields to Sub fields. Is Sub Fields a proper noun? - Erin Andy (talk) 20:40, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
- All right, but that does not at present address the NPOV and OR issues. Can you elaborate on why you undid those edits? - Erin Andy (talk) 21:30, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
- I reckon I'm satisfied, but:
- Can you do similar reference updates to similar articles (such as Seventh-day Adventists in Turks and Caicos Islands)?
- Can you change the text to make it more original? The first sentence is lifted wholesale from the reference. - Erin Andy (talk) 00:55, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
