%s

Please protect the %s page -- the people who don't know what it does keep trying to edit it, while there is no need to.

The reason it redirects to Main Page is because if you type "wp" into Mozilla Firefox, it automatically takes you to the entry for %s (it has something to do with the C programming language). So, there's no reason it should be edited, and it should be protected. (User:69.242.50.42)

Does not seem to be in an edit war currently, and I can see a plausible case for the kind of revisions they're making. Apparently typing "wp X" into Firefox pulls up article X, but just "wp" sends you to %s. A different anonymous editor feels the need to explain "wp X" functionality. I agree that we ought not use entries for Firefox tutorials, but I see no need for permanent protection. Cool Hand Luke 09:02, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)
