Lamput is an Indian series of shorts created by Vaibhav Kumaresh and produced by Vaibhav Studios, consisting of 15 seconds micro shorts that were extended to 2 minutes for the second season. It airs on Cartoon Network India.[1][2]

Synopsis

Lamput is a gooey orange creature that escaped from the laboratory of Slim Doc and Fat Doc. Fat Doc and Slim Doc try to catch Lamput but never succeed because it can change it's shape and escape from them.[3]

Characters

  • Lamput: Lamput is the title character of the show. He's an orange gooey lump that escaped from a laboratory.
  • Slim Doc: He's the slim scientist who tries to catch Lamput.
  • Fat Doc: He's the fat scientist who tries to catch Lamput.
  • Fit Man: He's a fit, healthy and powerful man who sometimes beat the docs.
  • Doctor: He's a pink coloured doctor who sometimes check lamput and docs.

Reception

Critical response

Lamput earned the distinction of being the first Indian show sold from a pitch bible that has gone to air globally.[1]

Accolades

The show won two BAF awards, one in the category Case Study of the Year and another in the category Best Animated Episode (Indian).
