The Ithaca Central Railroad (reporting mark ITHR) is a 48.8 mile shortline railroad operating in New York and Pennsylvania that is owned by Watco Transportation Services. The ITHR leases and operates the Norfolk Southern Railway Ithaca Secondary from its interchange with Norfolk Southern in Sayre, Pennsylvania to Ludlowville, New York.[1] The railroad began operations on December 8th, 2018[1] serving its primary customer, the Cargill Cayuga Salt Mine, in Lansing,New York. The railroad has the capability to haul various commodities such as salt, coal, plastics, and magnesium chloride.[1]

The railroad currently uses two ex-UP EMD SD40-2 (SD45 carbody) locomotives, WAMX 4247 & WAMX 4248.
