Richey McCourt is a producer/songwriter, who has worked with a variety of artists including electro-pop artist LAOISE, Will Young, Pixie Lott, Matt Cardle, Rebecca Ferguson, Shalisa, Isaac Waddington and more.

McCourt and Swedish writer Nick Jarl's song "Losing the Love" is featured in the Disney movie Tini: El gran cambio de Violetta starring Martina Stoessel and on her debut album. The video for "Losing The Love" went live on Vevo on May 6, 2016 with the album entering the German album charts at Number 6 on the same day.

In 2015, McCourt and Jarl's song "I Don't Need a Lover" appeared on the number 1 UK Will Young album, 85% Proof.

In June 2015, McCourt was interviewed as part of the IrishTimes.com series "How Music Works",[1] where he discussed his approach to songwriting, and his background in performance.

McCourt co-wrote a song for the Rebecca Ferguson album "Superwoman", called "I'll Meet You There". The album was released on October 14, 2016 and debuted at Number 6 on the UK Album Charts. In October 2017, a track written and produced by McCourt/Jarl "Not Alone" was released by Hollywood Records artist Shalisa.

McCourt began writing sessions with 2FM RISING 2018 artist LAOISE early morning 2018 and their song ‘Again’ (co-written with Sean Behan) was released on Sept 21st to critical acclaim and Spotify playlist support. The acoustic version, co-produced and mixed by McCourt was placed on global Spotify playlists Sad Songs, Mellow Pop, Pop Acoustic & Easy.

Another McCourt / Jarl penned track ‘Fire (PO PO Pom Pom) was released as the debut single from Swedish artist (and co-writer) Julia Lov in October 2018. The track received favourable radio support from Swedish national station Sveriges Radio P3. The acoustic version was released in December 2018.
