The Ueberroth Mine was a zinc mine in Friedensville, Pennsylvania. The mine was established following the discovery of zinc in 1853. The mine was operated until 1876.

"The President"

The Ueberroth Zinc Mine was the site of the largest Cornish derivative single-cylinder beam pump ever built for use in a mining application. The pump was capable of pumping 12,000 gals/min from a depth of 300 ft. It was built at Merrick & Sons Southwark Foundry in Philadelphia. The pump was designed by John West. The engine was set to work on January 19, 1872, and was run continuously until October 28, 1876, when the mine was allowed to flood. [1]
