Renaissance Princess is a 2009 role-playing game for the Windows/PC platform created by MP-Shareware. The game's official release date was December 17th, 2009 [1].

The player controls the character of Tori, a young exiled princess in the mythical land of Simphilla. Her father, King Gregory, was murdered by Nexa, the pixie of death, for failing to create a temple for the inhabitants of the land to worship her. Tori went into voluntary exile prior to being captured by Nexa. Nexa therefore sent six powerful minions to guard various areas and prevent Tori from reclaiming the throne[2].

The game play of Renaissance Princess is similar to most top-down view games, especially those made during the SNES era[3]. One difference is that Renaissance Princess uses a mix of real-time combat with Final Fantasy style battle engagement. A player does not fight enemies on the main overview screen but either engages an enemy that is seen on screen; or is drawn into a random battle from an unseen force while walking.

The demo is available for free download from many places on the web that list software marketed using the shareware marketing method.
