Bhavya Gandhi is an Indian actor. He is known for his portrayal of Tipendra Gada in the popular Indian sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which airs on SAB TV.[1] He left the sitcom in February 2017 and his role of Tipendra Gada was taken over by Raj Anadkat.[2]
Career
Gandhi appeared as Tipendra Jethalal Gada, (commonly known as Tappu) son of Jethalal Gada and Daya Jethalal Gada, the lead characters of the Indian sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He played the role from 2008 to 2017.[2]
Gandhi also played the role of child lead Suryakant in the 2010 Hindi-spoken film Striker. He was to debut in Gujarati cinema in 2017.
He left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah to pursue a career as a film actor. According to Indian Express he state that the makers are ignoring his character in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.[2]
His Gujarati films debut was in Pappa Tamne Nai Samjaay, released on 25 August 2017. It stars Manoj Joshi, Ketki Dave, and Johny Lever.
He has an upcoming Gujarati drama film Baap Kamaal Dikro Dhamaal with Dharmesh Vyas, Ragi Jani and others, produced by Dharmessh Mehta Namanraj Productions. He is currently performing in the USA and Canada.[citation needed]
Personal life
Bhavya lives with his parents in Mumbai.[1] He is the cousin of Samay Shah, who played his on-screen friend Gurucharan Singh Sodhi (Gogi) on Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah.[3]
