4ocean is a United States company selling bracelets made of recycled materials. The company promises to remove one pound of trash from the ocean and coastlines for each bracelet they sell.[1] 4ocean sponsors events where volunteers remove trash.[2][3]

History

4ocean started with Alex Schulze and Andrew Cooper[1] on a trip to Bali, Indonesia.[4] The inspiration came from witnessing all of the plastic in the ocean and through observations of fisherman pushing through mounds of plastic to get their boats to open waters.[5]

4ocean claims to have removed over 2 million pounds of waste from the ocean and coastlines since its inception.[4][6]

4ocean won the Surfer Magazine "Agent of Change Award". [7]

The founders of 4ocean were named to the Forbes Magazine "30 Under 30" List [8]

The founders of 4ocean were named to the "2019 Creative Class" by Newsweek. [9]
