Not COI
Not an autobiography; I have a similar name but I am not the subject of this article. I am related to the subject, but the article is entirely neutral. The subject is definitely notable, cited in several other Wiki articles. I have added a third-party reference and will look for more. Vchappell (talk) 01:04, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
- While the subject may be notable, there do not seem to be enough sources on which to base a biographical article, so the article looks like a resume or curriculum vitae, which is not encyclopedic. Yworo (talk) 06:10, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Remove Notability Flag?
According to Wikipedia's Notability Guidelines[1], "The publication of an anniversary or memorial journal volume or a Festschrift dedicated to a particular person is usually enough to satisfy Criterion 1" and "Academics/professors meeting any one of the following conditions, as substantiated through reliable sources, are notable."
The book, Contemporary Perspectives on Early Modern Philosophy: Essays in Honor of Vere Chappell[2] is a festschrift published in honor of Vere Chappell.
Although the word "festschrift" does not appear in the publisher's description of the book, it is referred to as such elsewhere (for example: Knowledge, Reason, and Taste: Kant's Response to Hume by Paul Guyer, page 21[3] states: "Chapter 3, "Cause, Object, and Self" written in 2004 for a festschrift for Vere Chappell..."
Given that "the publication of a festschrift is usually enough to satisfy Criterion 1," would it be appropriate to remove the notability flag?
Thank you for your consideration. I am a Wikipedia novice and the subject's son, so I would appreciate any assistance from more experienced Wikipedians. Vchappell (talk) 06:29, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
