World Rugby Pacific Challenge: NPOV
Asserting that the APC effectively replaced previous formats of the World Rugby Pacific Challenge is misleading.
- The cited source of this, from September 2016, goes on to say that the Pacific Challenge "is now" contested by the senior 'A' teams of Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and Japan in March. – However, the tournament had been contested by those same core teams in March since 2011 (and still is).
- This ARN source is tailored towards readers wanting, as the name of the website indicates, Americas Rugby News. If you take the point of view of teams from Argentina or Canada (within the Americas) then, yes, the APC replaced the previous version of the Pacific Challenge as the tournament in which they played. – However, that is not the neutral point of view.
- It is more correct, from a WP:NPOV, to say that the current format of the Pacific Challenge replaced the previous format of the Pacific Challenge (namely, the Pacific Cup). – The fact that Canada was invited for one year or the Pampas XV played for two years does not alter this. -- Ham105 (talk) 00:02, 7 February 2019 (UTC)
