Jacob Batalon (pronounced Bata-Lawn;[2] born October 9, 1996) is an American actor.[3][4] He is best known for his performance as Ned in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018).[5][6] He will reprise his role as Ned in Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019). [7]

Early life and education

Batalon was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Filipino parents.[8] Upon graduating from the private and Catholic Damien Memorial School, Batalon attended Kapi'olani Community College to study Music Theory, but later dropped out. He then took a two-year program to study acting at New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.[9]

Career

Batalon made his acting debut in 2016, when he made an appearance in the film North Woods.

In 2017, Batalon landed his first major role in Spider-Man: Homecoming, as Peter Parker's friend Ned.[10] He reprised the role in Avengers: Infinity War the following year.

In July 2017, Batalon was cast in young-adult film Every Day.[11]

In 2018, Batalon was confirmed to appear as Ned in the Spider-Man: Far From Home in 2019.[12]

Personal life

Batalon has one older sister, who is married.[2]
