Early life and education

Rajan was born on 13 November 1985 into a Christian Malayalee family in Aluva, Kerala, to Sheeba and KC Rajan. She has an elder brother named Shawn. Rajan's father passed away of a heart-attack when she was in college, this sudden demise of her father put a lot of financial pressure on her family. She had to take up jobs while in college to support the family.

Most of Rajan's education took place in Aluva, she did her schooling from Nirmala Higher Secondary School, after which she completed her eleventh and twelfth grade from St Frances College in Aluva. She studied nursing from Kalamassery Cochin Medical College.

Growing up, Rajan knew she had three career paths in her life, either to become an Engineer or an MBBS doctor or to do Nursing. Being an average student, she ruled out MBBS as her career which is academically demanding. Rajan always wanted to go abroad and work. Seeing one of her Neigbors' do Nursing and settle in Australia, she decided to pursue nursing in the hopes of going abroad.
