Şehzade Ömer Abdülmecid Osmanoğlu[7] (born 4 June 1941) is the only child of Mahmud Namık, and his wife Şaharazade Hanım. Şaharazade was born in Alexandria in 1922 and died 1993. She was the only daughter of Ismail Ratib Bey, by his wife Princess Emine Bihruz, the younger daughter of Prince Ibrahim Raşid Fazıl Pasha, of Egypt and great-grandson of Sultan Mehmed V, 35th sovereign of the House of Osman. Ömer attended The Dragon School in Oxfordshire and Stowe School in Buckinghamshire, and studied Business Administration at the Polytechnic in London.

Children

Şehzade Ömer has one son with Beulah Hanım (b. 8 April 1943), née Banbury. (Şehzade) Mahmud Namık Osmanoğlu was born in London, on 27 April 1975. He has two grandsons, (Şehzade) Ziyaeddin Reşad, born in London on June 6, 2012, and (Şehzade) Ömer Cem, born in London on August 5, 2015.

Life

Ömer Abdülmecid had a career as an oil trader in the City of London and is now retired and lives in England.
