Tuluva Brahmin

Tulu Brahmins or Tuluva Brahmins are the inhabitants of Tulu Nadu.

They consist of following sub-sects.[1]

  • Sthanika Brahmins , also called "Sthanika Tulu Brahmins" ; and/or "Tulu Brahmins" are the original inhabitants of Tulu Nadu whose history predates 380 B.C.[2]

Second migration: Later part of the 9th century A.D.

Third migration: 11th century A.D.
