Holanagadde is a village in the Uttara Kannada district of the state of Karnataka, India. It is located on the west coast beach of the Arabian sea. The main communities that live in the village are Havyakas, Namdharis, Harikanths, Patgars with a few Christian, Konkani and Mukhri families. The village has a primary school which is more than 100 years old. Rice, Cashew Nuts, Beetel Nuts and Coconuts are the main crops. Carpenting and agriculture are the major occupations in the area.

It has fisheries industries and rice mills. Notable figures include Dr L R Hegde, Pa Su Bhat, T M Hegde, Dr. G R Hegde,(Sanna Hegde mane) M.R. Hegde, Dr Prakash Bhat, N S Bhat, K T Bhat, V R Hegde,(Sanna Hegde mane), Dr. L.S. Bhat, Dr. Anil Hegde, Dr S.S. Hegde, Mr Rajaram S Hegde - Advocate were born in this place. Dr L R Hegde and Dr Prakash Bhat are the two Karnataka Rajyothsava Awardees from the village. Tumblematha is the village temple. Baada Kanchika Parameshwari temple atop a hill on the seashore is a kilo meter from the village. Famous eateries like Kutti angadi Subraya Naik angadi, Bhatra angadi are worth visiting. Must visit for tourists is the pristine Holanagadde beach. Aghanashiniriver joins the Arabian Sea 9 km north of Holanagadde. Across the Aghanashini river, Gokarna (a Hindu pilgrimage place) is found 6 km away. Kumta is located 5 km south.

Trekking on the nearby Kadle Gudda (Pea Hill) and swimming to the Lone Rock in the Nene Beach are an exhilarating experiences.
