Tyla Yaweh (1995-present) is an up-and-coming rapper origining from Orlando, Florida, USA. He is known for singles such as “She Bad”, “Gemini”, “Drugs and Pain” and “Wildlife”. Tyla Yaweh is currently signed to London Entertainment. [1]

Biography

Yaweh was born Tyler Jamal Brown on May 31, 1995, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Yaweh was originally supporting him self as a drug dealer, having a masking job at the local Dunkin’ Donuts near his resident in Florida as a cover for his incomes origins. After that his mother discovered that he sold drugs, he was kicked out of the house and was now on his own. He packed a car with three of his friends and all of his belongings and drove out to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams of being a rapper, and by that, dropping his current life in Florida. Post Malone and Dre London attention was eventually caught by Yaweh’s charisma and he later on went on to sign to their label London Entertainment.[2]

Career

In 2017, Yaweh toured with XXXTentacion on the Revenge tour. He had multiple performances at Rolling Loud. His breakout single “Drugs and Pain” was released in November 2017 by London Entertainmen. The track was produced by XL and the supporting music video directed by Ryan Silverstein. 2018 saw the release of singles “Wildlife”, “Gemini” and “Goals” featuring Preme. All 3 tracks performed well, racking up millions of streams across Spotify, YouTube and SoundCloud.[2]

Yaweh performed at the 2018 SXSW and Made In America festivals. He appeared on a 2018 episode of Jimmy Fallon‘s Tonight Show where the two had a rap battle. Yaweh’s latest single “She Bad” dropped in October 2018. It was produced by Bizness Boi. The music video clocked in 2.8+ million views in the first 7 weeks. Yaweh is currently working on his debut EP titled ‘F the Rules.’ The project is scheduled for early 2019.[2]
