Rondaninn-a teito a teito is a traditional song from the Italian Liguria region (where the city of Rondanina lies)[1].
As usual, in traditional music there exist several versions with small variations. One of the common lyrics is[2]:
Genoese dialect lyric | Italian translation | English translation |
---|---|---|
Rondaninn-a teito à teito
|
Rondinella, di tetto in tetto,

Swallow (flies) from roof to roof

Because of the great Italian (particularly from Genoa) immigration to Argentina in late XIX century and early XX century it's well known in their xeneize (genoese) community.
