Moulana Mufti Asjad Raza khan was elected as Grand Mufti of India by Indian Sunnies.

He is the son of late Qazi Mufti Thajusharia rahimahullah. This announcement was made by Huzoor Muhaddith e Kabeer, Allamah Zia Al-Mustafa Al-Qadiri Al-Hanafi at the Seminar in presence of the great Muftis in attendance.

The Title "Qazi al Quzat" is almost used among Barelvies instead of "Grand Mufti Of India".
