The Massachusetts Senate currently has 34 Democrats and 6 Republicans. The election was held on November 72006.

The 2006 Massachusetts House election is scheduled for the same date as the Senate election, as well as Federal and Gubernatorial elections (see Massachusetts general election, 2006).

Massachusetts Senators serve two-year terms.[1]
